Beautiful Books, Brownies and Boots...

I have been killing it this week with finding a routine for my freelance work and blogging; it's the first week I really feel like I've found my stride and I have even managed to fit in time for myself which almost never happens.  I know it might seem like a small thing but not having to sit down and work in the evening just to meet deadlines or having to turn down invitations at the weekend is just the best feeling.  Long may it continue!

Also...how on earth is it October already?!  Don't get me wrong, I love this time of year but I do feel like I just blinked and September was gone.

Read
I finally finished The Bone Clocks this week...what a long and arduous read that has been!  And finishing it might I got to turn to my TBR pile on my beautiful bookcase.  It might be overflowing with books I've bought and not gotten around to reading yet but it looks pretty and that's all that counts...right?

Watched
Have you seen the Mean Tweets Live segment on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show?  They are so bad but so funny and we have been giggling over them this week.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, basically celebrities read out mean things which have been tweeted about them.  You can find the videos on YouTube and if you want somewhere to start, try the Music Edition.  I snorted my tea over Pharrell Williams.

Wore
I have been surprised this week by how many compliments I received over several of my outfit choices.  Anyone who knows me will know that I am not fashionable in the slightest, despite my best efforts, so to share my outfits and actually have people ask me where they were from was quite strange!  All that aside, I have loved being able to bring out the autumn clothing this week; there's just something so lovely about warm boots, knitted jumpers and scarves.

Heard
As much as it pains me to admit it, the song which has been playing on repeat in my head is Justin Bieber's new track, 'What Do You Mean'...I caught it on the radio a couple of times on the school run and have to admit that as much as he tends to polarise opinions (with me firmly being on the negative side) it does have quite a catchy tune.  There...I've said it!  Just don't make the mistake of watching the video.  Apart from anything...that hair?!

Made
James made the most delicious brownies this week after I mentioned that I quite fancied some home-baked goodies.  They were serious melt in the mouth delights.  Never mind the fact that they had about eight bars of chocolate in them and we've still got a mountain to eat our way through...

And Lastly...
I have been working really hard this week on my Instagram account; it is my favourite social media platform by far but somehow also seems to be my weakest.  So I've been trying to work on my photography and editing skills...if you don't already follow me please head over and say hello...I look forward to seeing you over there.

Have a great week all...
