An Update...

I know things have been quiet over here of late and for those who regularly come to read my posts or who are subscribed to the blog, I thought you probably deserved some kind of update and explanation!

I think it may well be the time of year but we have been hit pretty hard over the last couple of weeks with various bugs and illnesses; I am still unwell on a regular basis with my chronic pain although I have an appointment coming up in the next few weeks which I am really hoping will see an end to it.  Aside from that, James was unwell a few weeks ago and then last week he caught tonsillitis which completely knocked him for six.  I've just been doing my best to juggle all of the plates which hasn't been easy because of my fatigue and other things so it's not been the best of times in our little household!

We've also had church related conferences and work stuff to try and balance and I also decided it would be a great time to restart my vlogging channel (although I can't think why!!) so it's been a bit of a hectic time for us and something had to give; unfortunately it was my little space on the internet for a week or so.

But I am back with a plan, and loads of posts and things I want to share with you and we all more or less seem to have recovered.  As I'm writing this, I've got washing on the line and the sun is shining so I am feeling hopeful that Spring has truly arrived this time and we won't have any more random snow flurries or torrential storms sweeping our way.  It would be nice to get some milder weather and set the cold to rest I think.

Somehow in between all of the sickness and busyness we have managed to find time to spend together as a family.  My mother in law has been amazing these last two weekends, having the kids over for sleepovers to free up our time to attend events and things and we've found Sunday is the only day when we've been altogether so we've really been trying to squeeze a lot in.  With the arrival of the nicer weather that means a lot more time down on the coast and I recently came across a lovely little section of woodland and dunes whilst walking the dog which has been our go-to place just recently.  There are lots of little valleys which are quite decent in size and mean that James and I can sit down and have a chat whilst the kids run around, never out of sight.  I imagine they will be blissful little pockets of warmth in the summer months and I just hope it doesn't get too busy.

We spent a few hours on Mother's Day there which was wonderful and just what I needed and I've been back a couple of times throughout the week as well just to embrace and enjoy the fresh air for a short period of time.  I've found just recently that my stamina has been a lot less and with a lot of energy needed for clambering over the dunes in the brisk air, I don't manage to last too long.  As I said before, I am hoping this will soon be sorted out!

So that's just a little update and I hope to be back on top form this week and beyond.
