Coco Loco Wonderball Wand ǀ Review & Giveaway

It's not often that you will find me sharing about beauty topics over on the blog but I am really excited by the post I have to bring you today.  I was recently sent the new Lee Stafford Coco Loco Wonderball Wand to review and I have had so much fun trying it out.

I will have to open this review by saying that I am hopeless at getting my hair to curl.  A recent discussion with my hairdresser revealed that it's not actually me but my hair that is the issue.  It's fine and has tight cuticles which makes it hard to hold a curl.  Great news that I wasn't missing something from the hours I had spent watching YouTube videos and trying to recreate styles but not so great when I am longing for beach curls.

Enter the Coco Loco Wonderball Wand.

The wand has a unique barrel shape to allow you to get two different types of curls.  You can achieve beach-style waves by wrapping your hair over the spheric barrel or get tighter curls by wrapping your hair in between the barrel.  As my hair is so fine I ended up having to go with a mix but I guess that makes it more interesting looking.

The wand is also infused with coconut oil which is a brilliant touch as it leaves your hair smelling gorgeous as well as leaving your hair feeling pretty silky as well as helping to protect and repair damaged hair.

It does take a while to get used to using it, and to getting the curls right.  If you only wanted one of type a curl then it does take some practice; I found that my hair type combined with the smoothness of the wand would just send my hair shooting off the rounder parts of the barrel and into the groove if I wasn't careful producing a tighter curl than I might have wanted.  Of course as a total newbie I have now spent many hours trying different things until I could get my hair to do what I wanted but now I can get my hair curled in half the time and as long as I apply a certain amount of product I can also get the curls to stay put.

The only thing I have to point out is that the wand gets really hot.  I am thinking of investing in a heat glove as I have burnt my fingers a number of times when it comes to wrapping the shorter bits of my hair especially.

I can only apologise for my face.  Beauty blogger extraordinaire I am not.

The Wonderball Wand retails at around £29.99 which I think is reasonable for such a versatile wand.  This is probably the third or fourth curling product I've owned and it's the first one I can confidently say works for my hair.

Overall I have been very impressed by the Coco Loco Wonderball Wand.  I would previously have said that I couldn't curl my hair but this product has proven me completely wrong and I look forward to rocking the beach waves this summer.
